Easter Island’s mysteries

Easter Island was discovered in April 5th (That’s where its name comes from, the Easter holidays), in 1722 by the Dutch explorer Jacob Roggeveen. Now, it belongs to Chile and is a 5 hour flight from its capital, Santiago.

By only 700 dollars you can enjoy various and unique adventures in this exclusive and exotic island in the Pacific Ocean.

As soon as you arrive at the Mataveri Airport the islanders receive you with flower necklaces as a gift for your visit. Then you can choose different places where to stay, there’s the Anakena hotel which is right beside the sea with an amazing view of the Pacific Ocean. Also you can stay in little houses next to the beaches or you can settle down in tents on the caves in specific places.

Having a place to stay ready, the activities begin immediately. You can go fishing early in the morning experiencing the tradition of the islanders. Then you can go and visit the many volcanoes that surround the island, such as the Rano Raraku or the Rano Kau.

You can also go to the most popular beaches such as Anakena or Orongo and enjoy a relaxing time on the white sand and the warm blue water sipping a typical pineapple juice.

The Moais are the greatest attraction in the island, their mystery is still unknown to the world, so beyond everything you can see or experience, these statues are everywhere in the island, in every volcano, in every beach, so you can observe every details of these amazing figures and in some way try to discover the mystery that they brought within.

Easter Island is a destination to everyone, families, young couples, or students. There are so many things you can do that you never get enough of the magic that the island brings to every tourist.
